Lawn Fertiliser: We recommend Troforte Lawn Fertiliser with 60 natural minerals, 23 beneficial microbes, and fungi. Another great option is Healthy Earth Lawn Fertiliser 10kg. Ideal for buffalo, couch, kikuyu, fescue, rye and other lawns. An excellent all-rounder that has everything a good lawn fertiliser should: good NPK levels and trace elements, slow and quick release, soil wetter, and organic-based and soil-improving ingredients like volcanic rock dust.
Liquid & Water Soluble: Popular powdered and soluble fertilisers include calcium nitrate and potassium nitrate, which are both used for regular gardening and hydroponics. Calcium nitrate includes calcium and nitrogen and is popular for boosting fruit and vegetable quality in tomatoes, capsicum, lettuce and other fruit and vegetables. It also helps prevent and correct calcium deficiencies like blossom end rot in tomatoes or tip burn in lettuce. Potassium Nitrate provides an excellent source of potassium and nitrogen for plants, especially in horticulture, hydroponics, and fruit/vegetable production. Because it’s chloride-free, it’s preferred for crops sensitive to chloride, like tomatoes, berries, grapes, and flowers. Our top recommendation would be Campbell's Diamond Special T. It's similar to potassium nitrate but adds phosphate and trace elements, making it an excellent complete and well-rounded fertiliser.
NPK Fertiliser: Stand out NPK fertilisers in this range include Incitec Granulock Blue, Health Earth Organic Fertiliser, Liquid NPK, Osmocote, and Campbell's Diamond Special T. Incitec Granulock Blue comes in blue coloured granules and provides excellent NPK levels at 12:5:14 and 8 in sulphur. It replaces the long-time favourite Nitrophoska Blue, which was discontinued and is an excellent general-purpose fertiliser. Our top pick in this range is Healthy Earth Organic Fertiliser, which contains over 100 minerals by weight and contains 70% natural ingredients. While high in NPK, it doesn't burn and can still be used on natives.
Stand Out Options: Zeolite helps prevent fertiliser leaching, adds minerals, and reduces watering requirements by 30 to 40%. Agriflix is another great option that has similar benefits to zeolite. Volcanic Rock Dust: An excellent mineral fertiliser. Volcanic material is rich in silica, potassium, Iron and many other minerals in a natural form ideal for boosting plant growth.
Palagonite Soil Support: Provides a similar mineral fertiliser to rock dust, but with some added benefits according to the manufacturer. See the palagonite product page for details.
Osmocote Fertiliser: A renowned and trusted slow-release NPK fertiliser. We buy in bulk 20kg bags and sell by the kilo to provide great value. High K Osmocote, which is high in potassium, makes it ideal for fruit and flowering plants. Low P Osmocote is low in phosphate, making it suitable for natives.
Health Earth Organic Fertiliser: An excellent natural NPK fertiliser. A complete fertiliser with all the key ingredients covered like meat & bone meal, rock minerals, nitrogen, potash, magnesium, calcium, iron, sulphur, trace minerals and soil wetters.
Troforte M All Purpose Fertiliser: A new type of fertiliser that feeds the soil, which then feeds the plant rather than just the plant alone. Includes slow-release microbial granular fertiliser with 24 strains of beneficial soil microbes like fungi.
Biochar: Is a revolutionary organic soil improver. It has incredible properties, including the ability to hold moisture and nutrients ready for plants to access. Biochar acts like a sponge, making soils more drought-resistant and often reducing the need for fertiliser. One application lasts many years. This is not regular charcoal. It's specially heat-treated to make it more porous.
Zeolite is an organic mineral additive that attracts and retains fertilisers and releases them when the plant needs them, preventing soil nutrient leaching. Suitable for virtually all plants.
