Chick Feeder

Shop chick feeders and waterers specially suited to younger chickens, providing easy access to food and water for smaller birds that may have difficulty reaching standard chicken feeders.

For very young chicks, be sure to select the smaller sizes, as larger feeders and waterers may be more difficult for them to access.

For the Ball Waterer, the 600 mL and 1.3 L sizes are suitable for very young poultry from 0 to 5 weeks old. After this age, they will generally need a larger waterer. The 2.5 L size and larger are suitable for adult chickens.

For the Chicken Feeder Bucket, the 1.5 kg size is ideal for chicks from 0–6 weeks old and for quail. However, a great little life hack is to start with the 3 kg size from the beginning, as this can save you from needing to upgrade to a larger feeder quite so soon.

While the 3 kg feeder is slightly more difficult for very young chicks to use, in our experience, baby chickens have no problem accessing the feed, making it a practical choice that will last them much longer.

While providing easy access, these feeders are also designed with barriers that help reduce spilling and prevent feed from becoming contaminated or wasted. No-mess and trough feeders are especially effective at reducing feed mess and waste.
