Chicken Manure

We have a comprehensive range of chicken manure (or chicken dung). Chicken manure is a very popular fertiliser that is produced in many forms including powdered, liquid & pellets. It can be used  for most plants and trees and is especially popular for fruit trees, vegetables & roses.

Chicken manure is higher in NPK levels like nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus than most other manure types making it more effective as a fertiliser rather than just a soil conditioner. Its levels are still lower than most chemical fertilisers making it safer for sensitive plants. Fresh chicken manure can include ammonia which can cause plant “burn” therefore it is important that poultry manure is aged and composted before use.

Poultry Manure Pellets: A traditional favourite of many gardeners, popularized by the original “Dynamic Lifter pellets” in the 80s & 90s which had quite a strong odour. These days most manure pellets are produced in a way to reduce odour. Our Poultry Manure pellets come in a 5kg and economical 25kg bag size that are certified organic and highly recommended. Our Organic Life High Performance Pellets are chicken manure pellets with added rock phosphate, potash, meat and bone meal, seaweed and zeolite.
