Straw Hay

Straw Hay is made from the dried stems of wheat plants and is a byproduct of wheat harvesting. Hay is popular as an economical animal bedding or garden mulch.  Straw bales are compressed blocks of straw hay and are popular as props for themed parties or as sediment control on building construction sites.

Bedding: Straw is an economical bedding option for animals. It's especially popular for chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs and rodents. For small animals, chopped straw can be used for extra comfort. The main benefits of straw include providing good insulation, warmth, comfort, softness, and being natural and biodegradable. One of the best benefits of straw is that it can be reused after use by adding it to the garden as compost or mulch. 

Garden Mulch: Straw Mulch can be added to the garden to help suppress weeds, add nutrients, and conserve moisture in potting mix and soil.

Sediment Barrier: Straw bales are often used as a sediment barrier on construction sites.

Party Props: Straw bales can be used as party props at themed parties or organised events. We can provide delivery Sydney-wide on your preferred day before the event. Delivery outside of Sydney might be possible on request.
