Seasol Commercial is a 100% liquid seaweed plant conditioner designed to support plant health, root development and productivity across a wide range of crops and growing situations.
Made from a blend of brown kelps, Seasol Commercial provides a naturally occurring combination of organic compounds, trace elements, alginates and carbohydrates. It promotes root growth, helps plants cope with environmental and climatic stress, and can improve fertiliser efficiency by supporting a larger, healthier root system.
Benefits of Seasol Commercial
- Stimulates root growth and supports stronger root development.
- Aids plant establishment and helps reduce transplant shock.
- Increases tolerance to adverse environmental conditions.
- Supports plants during heat, drought and cold stress.
- Enhances soil microbial activity.
- Supports flowering and overall plant productivity.
- Helps plants make more effective use of nutrients and water in the soil.
Made From Two Brown Seaweeds
Seasol Commercial is produced from Durvillaea potatorum and Ascophyllum nodosum.
Durvillaea potatorum is sourced from King Island and the west coast of Tasmania, where storm-cast kelp is collected under licences issued by the Tasmanian Government. Ascophyllum nodosum is sustainably harvested from managed kelp beds in the Northern Hemisphere.
The two kelps are blended and processed to produce a refined liquid seaweed extract filtered to 150 microns for agricultural use.

Application Rates & Directions
Seasol Commercial must be diluted with water before use. Shake or agitate the product before use and maintain agitation during dilution and application where possible.
Nut Trees
Suitable for: Almonds, hazelnuts, macadamias and pecans.
Apply at 5–10L/ha or 1mL per m² of plant area. When planting, drench or water in at a 1:400 dilution. Apply from green tip or first growth flush, with approximately five applications at critical growth stages including post-harvest. Use the higher rate for larger trees.
Deciduous Fruit Trees
Suitable for: Pome fruits, stone fruits and other deciduous fruit trees.
Apply at 5–10L/ha or 1mL per m² of plant area. For planting, use as a drench or water in at a 1:400 dilution. Apply at each growth flush or at approximately five critical growth stages including post-harvest.
Evergreen Tree Crops
Suitable for: Avocados, bananas, citrus and olives.
Apply at 5–10L/ha or 1mL per m² of plant area. When planting, drench or water in at a 1:400 dilution. Apply from bud initiation and at each growth flush. Mature trees may be fertigated at 10L/ha per month during months when irrigation is used.
Fruiting Annuals
Suitable for: Capsicums, cucurbits, strawberries, tomatoes and pumpkins.
Apply at 5L/ha at the seedling and transplanting stages and from approximately 15cm growth. Repeat every 10–14 days or make four applications as required.
Leafy Vegetables & Herbs
Suitable for: Asparagus, brassicas, celery, herbs and lettuces.
Apply at 5L/ha. When planting out seedlings, use a 1:400 dilution, equivalent to 2.5mL per litre of water. Apply at the seedling and transplanting stages and from the 3–4 leaf stage. Repeat every 10–14 days or make four applications as required.
Root Vegetables
Suitable for: Carrots, onions, potatoes and sweet potatoes.
Apply at 10L/ha from in-furrow application, with approximately four to five applications at critical growth stages.
Vines & Berry Crops
Suitable for: Blueberries, raspberries, wine grapes and table grapes.
Apply at 5–10L/ha or 1mL per m². Apply regularly during the growing season, particularly around periods of plant stress or recovery such as pre-flowering, fruit filling and post-harvest.
Important: Do not apply directly over flowers where flowers are essential to crop productivity. Where bloom is an important feature of the fruit, such as blueberries and table grapes, do not foliar spray once the bloom has developed.
Broadacre Crops, Pasture & Turf
Suitable for: Canola, cotton, pasture crops including lucerne, sugar cane and turf.
Apply at 10L/ha or 1mL per m². Apply at the beginning of the growing season and following cutting or grazing where appropriate. Application timing varies according to crop and growing system.
Using Seasol Commercial During Climatic Stress
For climatic stress, apply 5–10L/ha approximately 3–7 days before and after extreme stress events such as heatwaves or frost to help mitigate crop damage and support plant recovery.
Application Methods
Seasol Commercial can be applied as a foliar spray or directly to the soil. Suitable application equipment includes:
- Boom sprays
- Air blast sprays
- Drip irrigation systems
- Travelling irrigators
- Centre pivots
- Aerial application
For foliar spraying, apply the mixture as soon as possible after preparing the spray tank and maintain agitation where possible.
Fertigation
Agitate Seasol Commercial regularly in the fertigation tank. For best results, use the product on its own. It is compatible with a number of agricultural chemicals; however, do not combine Seasol Commercial with calcium nitrate.
Storage & Handling
Do not store Seasol Commercial for prolonged periods in temperatures above 30°C or in direct sunlight. Agitate before use and re-agitate if the product has been standing for an extended period.
Once diluted, apply the mixture within 24 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I grow Viburnum, Photinia and Gardenia for the cut flower market. Could you please recommend a foliar application rate for Seasol and PowerFeed?
A. From the manufacturer's representative:
I would suggest a 1:400 solution of PowerFeed and a 1:400 solution of Commercial Seasol (or 1:200 for domestic Seasol), which can be sprayed together.
