Campbell Orchid Fertiliser B (Blue) is a high-nitrogen, water-soluble orchid fertiliser formulated to support strong vegetative growth and plant development after flowering. With an NPK analysis of 30-4.4-8.3 plus trace elements, it is particularly suited to the growth phase when orchids are developing new leaves, shoots and overall plant vigour before the next flowering cycle.
The blue crystalline powder dissolves in water for easy application and provides nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and essential trace elements in a formulation developed specifically for orchids.
When to Use Campbell Orchid Fertiliser B
Orchid Fertiliser B is intended for the growth phase of the orchid cycle. It should generally be used from the completion of flowering through to the initiation of the next flower spike.
In temperate areas of Australia, Campbell recommends using Orchid B from approximately September through to the end of December. In warmer tropical or cooler southern climates, timing should be adjusted according to the actual growth and flowering cycle of the orchids rather than relying solely on calendar dates.
Once flower spike formation begins, change to Campbell Orchid Fertiliser A, which is formulated for the flowering phase.

How to Use Campbell Orchid Fertiliser B
Periodic Feeding
Mix 15 g of Orchid Fertiliser B with 5 litres of water and apply as a normal watering every 7–14 days, or according to plant requirements.
The manufacturer identifies 15 g as approximately one supplied measuring spoon.
Constant Feeding
For growers using a constant-feeding system, Orchid B may be applied each time the orchids are watered. Campbell recommends a nitrogen concentration of approximately 100–150 ppm when using this method.

Orchid Fertiliser A vs Orchid Fertiliser B
Campbell's two-part orchid feeding system uses different fertilisers for different stages of orchid development:
- Orchid Fertiliser B (Blue) – the high-nitrogen formula for plant growth after flowering and before flower spike initiation.
- Orchid Fertiliser A (Yellow) – the higher phosphorus and potassium formula used from flower spike initiation through the flowering period.
Using the appropriate formulation for each stage allows the nutrient balance to better match the orchid's changing requirements throughout its growth and flowering cycle.
Compatibility
According to the manufacturer's product information, Orchid Fertiliser B is compatible with most pesticides and with copper oxychloride. It should not be mixed with Bordeaux mixture, copper sulphate or lime sulphur. Campbell also advises against mixing Orchid B with emulsifiable concentrate pesticide formulations.
Available Sizes
Available in 500 g, 3 kg and 10 kg sizes. The manufacturer's brochure specifies that the 500 g pack includes a measuring spoon.
