Vella Stock Feeds Rat and Mouse Nut is well suited to rats and mice that are being used for breeding/lactating, growing out young, laboratory research, and as domestic pets.
Rat and Mouse Nut has been formulated to suit the high demands of young growers and breeders, in both rats and mice.

No Urea: All protein from true sources—no urea used.

Sizing: 12 mm diameter pellet (nut).
Roughage, chopped fruit, and vegetables should also be made available. Ensure animals have access to Nut at all times to avoid stop-start feeding.
Typical raw materials considered in the formulation of this diet include: wheat, barley, sorghum and their co-products, lupins, corn, canola and soybean meal, lucerne meal, vegetable oils, amino acids, probiotics, prebiotics, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin premix, salt, sodium bicarbonate, sodium bentonite, natural betaine, antioxidant, molasses, digestive enzymes, and deodoriser.
All raw materials used are steam-cooked prior to the pelleting process.
Feeding Suggestions:
Feeding suggestions are intended as a guide only. The level of intake will vary according to breed, size, age, feed availability, and environmental conditions. Ensure that clean, cool water and effective fibre are available 24/7.
Unused feed and water should be replaced daily.
Ensure housing is well-ventilated but draft-free to avoid respiratory diseases.
Housing should be designed to reduce the effects of sudden climate or environmental changes.
Introduce new feeds or changes to the current feeding program gradually.
Store product away from direct sunlight and keep it dry.
Note: Dogs have been known to consume this product. Vella Stock Feeds cannot endorse the use of Rat and Mouse Cubes as dog food. However, in the event this occurs, we are not aware of any raw material used that may cause harm to your dog, aside from potential overconsumption or an allergic reaction to one or more of the ingredients listed above. Breeding stock with restricted exercise or limited pellet access (volume) may need to be monitored to avoid overfeeding and unwanted weight gain, which can affect breeding stock fertility.
