About Barbara Heidenreich

Barbara Heidenreich has been a professional Animal Trainer since 1990. She owns and operates Good Bird Inc that provides behaviour and training products to the companion parrot community. These products include Good Bird Magazine, books, videos and training workshops. She is the author of "Good Bird! A Guide to Solving Behaviour Problems in Companion Parrots'' and also "The Parrot Problem Solver. Finding Solutions to Aggressive Behavior." She is the past president of the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators.

Barbara's experience also includes consulting on animal training in zoos. She provides consulting services to zoos, nature centres and other animal facilities through her other company Animal Training and Consulting Services. She has been a featured speaker on animal training on six continents and has been published in nine different languages. In her career, Barbara has trained animals, trained staff and presented shows at facilities around the world.
