Beefsteak Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) produces large fruit with thick flesh, making it great for salads or adding to a big, beefy hamburger. It is a tall-growing tomato variety that requires staking.

Planting & Growing Tips
Cultivate well-drained soil before planting. Beefsteak Tomato is also suitable for growing in pots at least 30cm in diameter. Mulch well and provide staking to support the plant as it grows. Pinch out side shoots to concentrate fruiting on two main leaders. This will produce fewer but larger fruit.
