Searles Pots, Tubs & Raised Beds Specialty Mix is a premium potting mix for large outdoor containers and raised garden beds. Designed for Australian outdoor conditions, it balances moisture retention, drainage and root-zone aeration, making it a practical choice for pots over 30cm in diameter.
Replacing Debco: This is our replacement for the discontinued Debco Raised Garden Bed Mix. The Searles bag contains 30L, compared with the previous Debco 50L bag.

Potting tips
- Choose a container with drainage holes and sufficient room for the plant's roots.
- Position heavy pots before filling. Add mix and place the plant at its original planting depth.
- Fill around the root ball and water thoroughly to settle the mix.
- Follow the plant label for positioning and ongoing care, and the bag for product-specific directions.
Bag size and quantity guide
Each bag contains 30 litres. For a rectangular raised bed, calculate length × width × fill depth in metres × 1,000 to estimate litres, then divide by 30 and round up. Allow for existing soil, plant root balls and settling.
