Feeding Directions - If raising young chicks, the Backyard Vegetarian Layer Mash is best being fed once they have reached the point of lay (18 to 20 weeks) although blending with Country Heritage Feeds Chicken Starter Grower from 16 weeks is advisable to assist with shell formulation.
Typical feed consumption is between 130 g and 150 g per head per day and is best made accessible through a feeder. To ensure minimal wastage, ensure the feeder is elevated high enough so they can't scratch out with their feet onto the ground. Always ensure the birds have access to plenty of clean drinking water.
