Q. At what age should I start giving my poultry grit?
A. While baby chickens are eating Chick Starter (0 to 7 weeks approx) or Pullet Grower (7 to 19 weeks approx ), they don't need any extra calcium supplementation. It's best to begin calcium supplementation about 2 weeks before they begin laying eggs or when they are being transitioned into a layer feed, which is usually around 16 to 18 weeks of age. The point of lay is usually 18 to 20 weeks of age.
