Aristopet Oral Antibiotic for Ornamental Birds 50 grams.
It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic designed for the treatment of bacterial enteritis and diseases caused by tetracycline-sensitive organisms in birds.
Active Constituent: 200g / kg Tetracycline Hydrochloride equivalent to 184.8 g / kg of tetracycline.
Directions for Use: Not for use in food-producing birds. Seek veterinary advice if psittacosis (chlamydia psittaci) infection is suspected or if birds do not respond to treatment within 5 days. Medicate the drinking water at the rate of 5g (1 measure) per 1 litre of water.
Freshly prepared medicated drinking water should be made available every 24 hours and should be the only source of drinking water during treatment. Treatment should be continued for 3 to 5 days, or until the symptoms have disappeared. 100 ml of the prepared solution will treat 20 small birds (such as canaries, finches, or budgies) or four large birds (such as parrots or cockatoos). Remove calcium supplement (cuttlefish, grit, nibbling blocks etc) for the duration of treatment as they reduce tetracycline absorbtion. Always read and follow this item's instructions before use.
