Manure
We have an extensive range of manure from various cattle, including Cow, Sheep and Chicken manure. We also have various wormcasts from earthworms and other worms.
Cow Manure: A traditional favourite that's suitable for most plants and is especially popular for adding to garden beds before or after planting vegetables, or for lawns, or to improve poor soils. An organic fertiliser that improves soil health by adding organic matter. It has a gentle balance of minerals, providing essential minerals to plants. The typical NPK levels of cow manure are 0.5-0.02-0.4. It's lower in nitrogen than sheep and chicken manure, making it safe for most plants due to its lower nitrogen content. We also offer organic cow manure that is produced according to organic principles, ensuring that it's made from cows fed with organic feed.
Chicken Manure: Suitable for most plants, it is especially beneficial for leafy greens and fast-growing crops that require nitrogen. It's higher in nitrogen than cow and sheep manure, and also has good levels of phosphorus and potassium. Typical NPK levels are 1.5-1.0-0.5. Chicken manure is dry and crumbly when aged and is often pelletised for easy use. Our Terra Firma Pellets are certified organic and are boosted with natural humates. Organic Life Pellets are enriched with rock phosphate, potash, meat and bone meal, seaweed and zeolite. Pellets provide a slow and consistent release of nutrients. Grow Bio liquid provides a unique liquid option loaded with live microbes & fungi. Fresh chicken manure releases ammonia that can burn plants; therefore, it's suggested that fresh manure be aged/composted before use to prevent this. Our Magic Boost Fowl Manure is screened and composted, making it safe for most plants.
Sheep Manure: is suitable for most plants, but is especially suited for flowering and fruiting plants, due to its higher potassium levels. Popular with rose growers. It contains higher levels of nitrogen and potassium than cow manure, but usually less than chicken manure. Has balanced NPK levels, typically about 0.7-0.3-0.9. Comes in dry round balls (pellets) and is less smelly than other manures. Pellets allow a slow release of nutrients.
