Earthworm Casting Fertiliser (Worm Castings/Vermicast)
Many of our gardening customers prefer to get their casting in easy-to-handle bags. We screen and pack 10-litre bags (weighing around 5 kg). For many gardeners with fairly good soil, a 10% boost of worm casting with a new planting is often far better than standard manures. This means a 10L bag is sufficient for a garden area of approximately 0.25 m². This is because worm casting has a higher percentage of most key minerals and elements, such as Nitrogen, Calcium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Boron, Silica, Sulphur, etc., in the correct balance, than most commercially available bagged manures and composts. The other reason is that life is still in there. Our worm casting comes with the beneficial microorganisms intact and often includes some baby worms, all ready to do their work by breaking down minerals and providing food for your plants. Take care when opening to avoid inhaling any dust.
