Q. Can this cow manure or cattle manure products be harmful to animals like dogs and cats?

A. Manure, like all organic matter, can potentially be harmful to animals or even humans, though the risk is very small and I've never heard of a case where a pet has gotten sick from manure application. Nevertheless, if you are still concerned that your pet might touch or eat the manure it's best to keep them away from the garden after application and cover the manure with some soil to hide it.

Q. How long has this manure been aged for?

A. According to the manufacturer this product is aged at least 12 weeks and often for much longer, so it well composted and safe for all plants.

Q. Is this cow manure certified organic?

A. This product was formerly certified organic but due to the cost needed to pay the companies that certify it, the manufacturer decided to stop renewing the registration. However, the manufacturer is adamant that nothing has changed in process of producing this product and this manure is still just as organic as it was before but it now no longer certified organic by third party companies.

Q. Have you got a list of included ingredients for this grange product?

A. After emailing the manufacturer I was told that this product includes cow manure and nothing else.
