The Ryset Garden Grafter is an easy-to-use grafting plier with a V-shaped blade. Simply place the scion on the anvil, and the pliers cut a perfect V; repeat on the rootstock and join. Cuts up to 14mm diameter rootstock. Ideal for gardeners and hobby grafters.

How to Use the Ryset Garden Grafter:

Step 1 – Make the Grafting Cuts

Hold the stock plant in the grafting tool and squeeze the handle to make the cut. Repeat this process to cut a stem from the donor plant. Take care to ensure that the groove is correctly cut into the stock plant.

Step 2 – Join the Stock and Donor Stem

Slide the donor stem into the groove of the stock plant, matching the cut surfaces as closely as possible. If the stock and donor stems are not the same size, align the cut surfaces on one side.

Step 3 – Protect and Secure the Graft

Place sterilising material around the graft union and bind it securely with tape. The sterilising material helps protect the graft against bacteria and weather conditions.

Step 4 – Prune Unwanted Branches

Use the built-in pruner to remove unwanted or unnecessary branches from the plant.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size branches can the Ryset Garden Grafter cut?

The Ryset Garden Grafter can cut rootstock up to 14mm in diameter.

Do the rootstock and scion need to be the same size?

For the best fit, the rootstock and scion should be similar in diameter so the cut surfaces can be closely matched. If they are not the same size, align the cut surfaces on one side.
