Multicrop Skedaddle Dog and Cat Deterrent Granules are a natural, non-toxic combination of aromatic oils that effectively deter dogs and cats. The unobtrusive, ready-to-use granules are easily applied to areas such as gardens, lawns, driveways, paths, verandas, greenhouses, and pot plants. They are safe, easy to use, and an ideal training aid for a wide variety of situations. Multicrop Skedaddle Dog and Cat Deterrent Granules offer a novel approach, utilising a new active ingredient, for training dogs and cats to exhibit preferred behaviour. The oils used in Skedaddle are in no way offensive to humans, but dogs and cats find them unpleasant due to their keenly attuned sense of smell.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. Is it safe for backyard hens to roam where Skedaddle Dog repellent is applied?

A. After calling the manufacturer, I was told that Skedaddle was made from non-toxic substances and would be safe around poultry.

HOW IT WORKS

Skedaddle contains a unique combination of natural aromatic oils. The oils are not offensive to humans but are unpleasant to cats and dogs, which have a very strong sense of smell. It confuses the animal's sense of smell and masks the residual odours of any previous excrement or urine, which would normally attract them.

When used as directed, dogs and cats can be trained to avoid specific areas, such as gardens, lawns, driveways, paths, and verandahs. It is important to use Skedaddle sparingly. Repeat the procedure every 3-4 days until the animal's behaviour is modified. The aromatic oils and the granules will break down over time.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Residual odours of previous excrement or urine will bring a dog or cat back to the same spot for repeat visits. In addition to this, it is normal behaviour for dogs and cats to mark their territory, thereby telling other animals they are unwelcome. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully remove any excrement and hose the area thoroughly to wash away any odours before each application.

Break the container seal by pressing down where indicated. Ensure the container is closed properly between applications to maintain the product's effectiveness. Scatter the granules sparingly over the target area. Repeat the entire procedure every 3-4 days and after rain until the habit is broken. Reapply when needed to maintain correct animal behaviour. Some animals respond immediately, while others can take a few weeks to learn new behaviour patterns.

Some factors to consider when training animals: It may take longer to discourage animals that have been visiting for an extended period or have formed strong habits. Some animals will mark their territory with excrement to reclaim it. Young puppies may take longer to respond to training. Certain gardening materials, such as blood and bone, composts and special soils, can be a strong attraction for dogs and cats. Cats are attracted to plants such as Valerian, Catnip, Thyme, Evening Primrose, Ground Ivy and Wild Chrysanthemums, but not to Rue, Geraniums, Petunias, Roses and Fuchsias.

NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE OR IN ANY MANNER CONTRARY TO THE DIRECTIONS ABOVE UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION.

STORE AND DISPOSAL

Store in the original, closed container in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children. Do not store in direct sunlight. Dispose of the empty container by wrapping it in paper, placing it in a plastic bag, and then putting it in the garbage.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. Will Skedaddle harm my chickens?

A. Skedaddle is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, so it won't harm humans, pets or plants.

Q. Do you need to reapply Skedaddle after rain?

A. Rain can wash away the smell of Skedaddle. Therefore, it is best to reapply after rain to maintain a strong scent. Skedaddle will work best when reapplied often (every 3-4 days). You can put Skedaddle in small containers in your garden like a margarine container with holes in the side so the smell can get out. The containers will keep the product dry, allowing it to last a little longer.

Q. Is Skedaddle safe to use in a children's play area?

A. Skedaddle is one of the best products to use as it is non-toxic. It will blend into the soil, making it difficult for a child to pick it out and eat it. It will not cause the areas to which it is applied to be slippery, so there should be no issues regarding children running and slipping on the product. It only needs to be reapplied every 3 to 4 days.

Q. Can Skedaddle be used on a vegetable garden?

A. Yes, Skedaddle can be used on a vegetable garden, but only around the perimeter.

Q. What area will Skedaddle cover?

A. Each canister treats up to 50 square metres.

Q. Does Skedaddle alter the pH in soils?

A. No.

Q. Will Skedaddle harm wild birds?

A. No. Skedaddle is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, so it will not cause harm to any animals.
