Reptiles and amphibians are ectotherms and rely on external sources of heat to survive. In captivity, providing optimal temperatures inside a reptile's enclosure is crucial for their health and well-being. Thermostats allow for a specific temperature (appropriate for the species being housed) to be controlled and regulated.
The Simple-Stat is a basic, on/Off Thermostat providing accurate temperature control when paired with a range of heating devices, including low-wattage heat globes, heat mats and heat cables.
The simple-stat is the perfect beginner thermostat for new reptile keepers or those seeking an affordable and easy-to-program device.

SET UP:
Get Your Pet Right Simple-Stat:
1. Plug your Get Your Pet Right heat mat, heat cord or heat light into the Simples-Stat.
2. Plug your Simple-Stat into a power source and switch on. The LED screen will light up. Place the thermostat probe inside the terrarium at the basking spot where the set temperature will be regulated.
3. Using the UP and DOWN buttons, set the desired temperature for the species being kept
PROGRAMMING THE SIMPLE-STAT
1. Press the SET button to display the current preset temperature.
The LED screen shows the current temperature whenever the SET button is not activated.
2. Press and hold the SET button for three seconds to enter temperature selection mode. Press the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the temperature. When the LED screen is lit up, the heating device is in the process of warming the enclosure. When the LED screen is not lit, the heating device is not heating, allowing the enclosure to cool down. The Simple-Stat will automatically switch off the heating device once the set temperature is reached.
3. Press and hold the DOWN button for three seconds to display the temperature in CELSIUS. Press and hold the UP button to display the temperature in FAHRENHEIT.
