Richgro Bug Killa provides a minimum of 2 months' extended protection against a wide range of sucking insects on all your ornamental plants, including Roses, Azaleas, Camellias, gardenias, and Lilly pilly in the garden or in pots. Richgro Bug Killa is a systemic insecticide that is taken up by the plant's roots to control pests. It also contains Iron and zeolite, which are beneficial to plant health, helping your ornamental plants grow taller and stronger, and making fertilisers more efficient.
Safer to use and more convenient than aphid and mealybug sprays, Bug Killa is gentle on your plants. How to Use Information:
USE THE MEASURE CAP TO MEASURE THE REQUIRED AMOUNT. 20ml OF THE CLEAR OUTER CAP HOLDS 20 GRAMS OF RICHGRO BUG KILLA. DO NOT OVERWATER TO AVOID LEACHING FROM POTS.
BUG KILLA is activated when water is applied to the granules, which “washes” the active into the soil to be taken up by the plant.

Application Tips:
- Prior to application, it is advisable to remove mulch and dead vegetation, and moisten the soil surface.
- Sprinkle product evenly around the surface of the pot and then water well immediately after application to ensure maximum penetration and contact with the roots.
- Avoid over-watering and leaching from pots.
- Gives at least 2 months' protection.

How to apply: Prior to application, remove mulch and dead vegetation, and moisten the soil surface. Sprinkle product evenly around the drip zone. Use this rate for plants up to 1 m high. Use additional Bug Killa as per rate shown for plants higher than 1 metre. Water as usual to incorporate product and moisten root zone.

Period of protection for plants is based on trial data. Actual period of protection may be longer. Only reapply Bug Killa if re-infestation occurs. Avoid applying more than twice in a 12-month period.
NOTE: Visible control of pests may take up to 2 weeks after application, depending on the severity of the infestation.
Chemical-based products need to be used with caution. Do not allow pets in areas where the product could be consumed.

Q. Is Richgro Bug Killa Granules effective against borers in Pencil Conifers?
A. I got this reply from the manufacturer, Richgro, below.
"The Bug Killa product can be effective against borers, but it depends upon the size of the tree. If the tree is over, say, 3 metres tall, it would take so long for the product to get into the system of the tree that the results would be limited. If it is only a small tree, then yes, it would certainly be worth a go. But with larger trees, I understand they have to be injected with a chemical rather than using a product like Bug Killa. Bug Killa is more for plants like roses or small hedges and plants up to about 1 – 2 metres; larger than that, it will not be as effective."
Q. Is this insecticide suitable for fruit trees like cherry trees?
A. This product is for ornamental trees only and not for fruit trees. Please consider Searles Conguard instead, which has the same active ingredient but is suitable for fruit trees.
