Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. Could you also advise whether the two front doors slide up or are drawbridge style?

A. The two front doors on the cage slide up. I assume you are referring to the large front door with the smaller door inside it.

Q. I'm just checking that this cage is sturdy enough to be used as a full-time cage for a budgie to live in and not just to be used as an exercise cage.

A. Yes, this cage is sturdy enough and is fine for permanent use. The term exercise cage is used because the cage is very long, which allows birds to fly from left to right; it does not imply that this is a temporary enclosure.

Q. Would this cage be suitable for two cockatiels?

A. Yes, this cage would be ok for two cockatiels, but not for any more than that.

Q. Is the wire removable from the bottom of the cage?

A. Yes, the wire mesh floor is removable with pliers and some effort. However, keep in mind that it will leave a gap at the side of the tray that leads to the floor, so you will need to ensure that the cage is always kept on a solid, flat surface to avoid a small gap appearing on the outside.

Q. Is this cage suitable for zebra finches?

A. Yes, this cage is fine for zebras and other finches.
