Comfort Chick Heating Plate Brooder (5 Sizes)
This chick warmer plate gives controllable, low-level heat for young chicks. The warmth is from above, so they can move in and out of it as they wish. The height is easily adjustable on the four legs. The temperature-controllable element is encased in plastic for safe operation.
The PLATE ONLY option does NOT include the Thermo-controller (regulator). Save money with this option and adjust the temperature by raising/lowering the plate instead.
WHY CHOOSE A HEATING PLATE?
A heating plate is a substitute for Mother Nature, where the hen keeps the chicks warm under her feathers. It is a very natural solution with a significant advantage: the chicks will harden earlier, and their feather growth will also be quicker. Hereby, the chicks will be healthier. The lifetime of a heating plate is indeed 10 years, and the chance of malfunctions is minimal.
All the advantages of this new product:
- Easy adjustment of height.
- Enhanced insulation (PU).
- Higher plate temperature than the previous model.
- Low energy costs.
- A temperature fuse and a resistance fuse ensure double security.
- LED indicator.
- The thermo-controller is only included in specific options.
Disclaimer: This product uses Australian plugs, and its plug will not fit into outlets in most other countries. International customers might want to consider using a travel plug adapter for Australian appliances to overcome this issue.

MATERIALS:
The heating plate is made of plastic, mostly of ABS plastic. This material is robust and lasting. The height of the legs can be easily adjusted by pushing the yellow clips marked by “PUSH”. On the inner side of the heating plate, you will find the polyurethane insulation with a very high insulating factor. In this part, the heating is mounted.
VERY LOW ENERGY COSTS:
A heating plate uses less energy than a heating lamp. These savings can reach up to €7.26 a week, depending on the model. This way, you can gain back the purchase price of the heating plate in 8-20 weeks. An excellent investment, thus!

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Are these heating plates suitable for use when hand raising parrots?
A. I got the following answer from a rep of our supplier "As long as the parrot can fit under the warmer, then I would think it would be ok The legs have several high adjustments" However when I asked our resident bird carer at our Sydney Store he did not recommend these heating plates for hand-raising parrots because they allow too much space and the baby bird may move away from the warmth and get cold. He suggested the Poultry Brooder Kits instead (see below)
