Sunflower 'Bronze Shades'

Brilliant terracotta and bronze shades. Flowers profusely. Excellent for cutting and decorative displays.

Position

Full sun.

Sow

Direct into garden position. Cover seed with Yates Seed Raising Mix. Firm down and keep moist.

Care

Choose a warm, sunny well-drained position. Add Thrive Granular All Purpose Fertiliser for best results. Keep free from weeds and keep well watered. May require staking. Shelter from wind. Protect from snails with Yates Blitzem.

Sunflower 'Dwarf Sensation'

Bright yellow flowers on a compact plant that’s ideal for pots or garden borders.

Position

Full sun.

Sow

Direct into garden position or in pots filled with Yates Thrive Premium Potting Mix. Firm down and keep moist.

Care

Best grown in full sun. Incorporate Dynamic Lifter Organic Plant Food or blood and bone into the soil before planting. Feed regularly with Thrive Soluble Plant Food. Protect from snails with Yates Blitzem.

Sunflower 'Yellow Empress'

Particularly large yellow flowers up to 25cm across. Grown for their decorative value as well as for seed. Easy to grow.

Position

Full sun.

Sow

Can be sown directly into garden position, which must be in full sun and sheltered from wind. Otherwise raise in trays of Yates Seed Raising Mix. Keep moist until seedlings emerge.

Care

Plant height and flower size are much enhanced by planting in a fertile soil rich with organic matter. Thrive Granular All Purpose Fertiliser ensures good quality blooms. Protect from snails with Yates Blitzem.
