Feeding Directions
Laying Hens
The diverse nature of this ration makes it suitable for laying poultry from day old and throughout the growing phase. This avoids the need to change from a starter feed to a separate grower ration during the growth cycle.
Ensure chicks have free access to feed and water and are protected from harsh environmental conditions. Very young birds require adequate warmth, particularly during colder months.
For laying pullets, begin blending Country Heritage Feeds Organic Chick Starter Grower with your preferred Country Heritage Feeds Layer ration at approximately 16 weeks of age. This provides the additional calcium and nutrients required to support egg development.
Meat Birds
Country Heritage Feeds Organic Chick Starter Grower can also be used for meat birds without the need to change to a separate grower ration during the growth cycle. It may be fed from day old until slaughter, approximately 8–12 weeks depending on target weights.
Ensure birds have free access to feed and water and are protected from harsh environmental conditions, including providing adequate warmth from day old.
Ducks
