DavidDavid Grays Winter Grass Killer 125g

For the selective control of winter grass in sports turf and lawns in the home garden.

The product works by stunting the growth of the plant, particularly the germinating seed which will start coming up in Autumn (generally speaking). Having stunted/stopped the plant´s growth, it can not spread/reproduce.

Sustained treatment is required to control winter grass, and this product should not be used on Kikuyu lawns, but is OK for Buffalo and Couch lawns - but always consult the label before using the product.

Winter Grass Killer product is sold as a fine powder which is mixed with water for application.

Product must be watered into the soil to be effective on germinating seed.

Ideally applied around Mid-Autumn or as the climate gets colder and the days get shorter and will be effective during the entire Autumn-Winter-Spring cycle.

Active constituent: 100g /kg propyzamide.

Apply during autumn & winter and follow the instructions on packaging before use.

Label Information: For more information on the label see the other image thumbnails above.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. Can this product be used on Dichondra Lawns?

A. I just spoke to someone from the manufacturer David Grays. They said that they were not certain if it would be safe for dichondra lawns as it's not listed on the label. They suggested trialling it on a small section first to be sure its safe before using it on the rest of the lawn. They were also surprised to hear that the dichondra lawn has winter grass as dichondra usually overpowers weeds like winter grass (15/2/16)

Q. How long before our dog can use the lawn after spraying with Winter Grass Killer?

A.  I got this response from the manufacturer's rep:

"This product must be fully watered into the soil to be effective. Therefore, after having thoroughly watered it into the soil, perhaps wait until its dry, then the dog can have access"
