Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. Is this Buffalo Master spray dangerous to dogs and when should i allow my dog to walk on the lawn after it has been sprayed?

A. After calling the manufacturer, I was told the following by a rep.

Don't let the dogs walk on the grass while it's wet from treatment. After a few hours (more than 7 hours at least) and assuming the treated lawn is dry you can allow the dogs restricted access to the lawn for the next 2 to 4 days. The restricted access would involve not letting the dogs roll around or eat the grass etc. If the lawn gets wet from rain after treatment, the chemical may become re-activated so its best to keep the dogs away while its wet again. The rep also mentioned that Buffalo Master is not particularly dangerous to dogs but like all chemicals, it's not healthy or safe for dogs to ingest and you never know how certain dogs will react to it, so it's best to take precautions.

Q. After applying Buffalo Master on my lawn how long before i can let my rabbits on it?

A. After calling the manufacturer I was given the following suggestions. They suggested waiting at least a month before letting rabbits on the treated lawn. They also said that the rain and mowing of the lawn are important in the process of detoxification, so without rain or mowing, it might be best to wait longer than a month. They also suggested treating half the lawn and keeping the rabbits in the untreated area and then alternating between the areas.

Q. Is Buffalo Master Selective Weedkiller harmful to bees, earthworms, small spiders, etc that live in my lawn?

A. I got this reply from a rep of the manufacturer "Buffalo Master is a herbicide, not an insecticide, but in saying that it is a poison so direct contact might not be beneficial to insects"
