Leek - Welsh Wonder:

 

A popular variety enjoyed for its fleshy, tender white stems. Excellent flavour. Hardy and versatile.

Position: Full sun.

Sow: Raise in trays of Yates Seed Raising Mix, transplanting when 10cm high. Alternatively, sow direct in drills. Cover and firm down. Keep moist.

Care: Leeks do best in a rich, fertile soil. Incorporate organic matter and Thrive Granular All Purpose Fertiliser. Water regularly, and apply Yates Thrive Soluble Fertiliser fortnightly for strong plants. Protect from snails with Yates Blitzem.
