INCA Sulfa 3 is a triple sulphonamide water medication for ornamental cage birds. It is added to drinking water for the treatment of bacterial enteritis sensitive to sulphonamides, respiratory disease (coryza), one-eyed cold (Chlamydia) and coccidiosis. Available in 125mL and 250mL bottles.
For ornamental birds only. Do not use in food-producing species of birds, including birds kept to produce eggs or meat for human consumption.
Uses and Suitable Birds
The product directions list canaries, budgerigars, finches, cockatoos and doves. Labelled treatment uses include:
- Bacterial enteritis caused by organisms sensitive to sulphonamides.
- Respiratory disease described on the label as coryza.
- One-eyed cold (Chlamydia).
- Coccidiosis.

- Sulfathiazole: 120g/L.
- Sulfadimidine: 40g/L.
- Sulfamerazine: 40g/L.
Directions for Use
Read the bottle label before use and follow its directions.
- Mix 6mL per litre of clean drinking water daily.
- Repeat each day for 5–7 days.
- For coccidiosis, the stated treatment period is 7 days.
- Prepare fresh medicated drinking water daily.
- Thoroughly clean cages to help prevent reinfection.
Individual Bird Treatment
The stated individual treatment rate is 12 drops per 100mL of clean drinking water daily for 5–7 days, or 7 days for coccidiosis. This is a drinking-water dilution, not a dose to place directly into the bird's beak. Follow the bottle's dosing instructions.
